Dear Mentors & Friends,

The season is changing and so is our office location. Thanks to the generosity of James Moore CPAs, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend has a temporary home at their office building located at 2477 Tim Gamble Place. Our office number remains the same (850) 386-6002.

Big Brothers Big Sisters was recently forced to relocate from their headquarters on Tennessee Street due to revealed structural issues with the building after storms in our area. James Moore & Co., an accounting and business consulting company and Big Brothers Big Sisters supporter, has offered the agency space in its building at no cost. Thank you James Moore & Co. for investing in our program!

Respectfully,
Alva Striplin, CEO

Where's a purple bin?

Thank you to Wash Around the Clock Laundrymat for hosting a purple bin! Wash Around the Clock LaundryMat started their small self-service laundrymat in April 2004 and has continued to evolve right up until now! As a local family owned and operated business, they know first-hand that laundry isn’t on the top of anyone’s to-do list.

They offer state-of-the-art self service facilities that offer clean & comfortable 24 hour convenience and free wi-fi.

this month's match

Janae is a twin and oldest of her siblings. She says that a Big Sister is someone who cares about you. She was excited to get her own Big Sister to see what it feels like to have someone to look up to and have fun together. Big Sister, Emily, is 21 years old and wanted to become a Big because she enjoys working with and helping kids.

She loves that kids are honest and hilarious. Recently, Janae wanted to learn how to cook and bake, so they have now spent their Saturdays cooking chicken and baking pizzas!
