Dear Mentors & Friends,

Congratulations to our program staff for making 181 new matches in 2016! I am so proud of our hardworking team.

We could not continue to make matches without support from the community. In the new year we will be expanding our donation bin fundraising initiative by looking for new bin hosts. Sponsoring a donation bin is an easy, no-cost way for businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations to contribute to a great mission. Plus, this will help generate more traffic and visibility to your business. You can expect us to promote your bin location on our Facebook page and through various other online media.

If you are interested in becoming a bin host please, feel free to contact me at ceo@bbbsbigbend.org or
850-386-6002.

Respectfully,
Alva Striplin, CEO

this month's match

Mark and Jerry have been matched since May, and so far they’re off to a great start! They both created a bucket list of activities that they’d like to do together. So far they’ve gone to the Tallahassee Museum, tried new food, and played with Mark’s dogs. They continue to add new things to their list and even decided that they’re up to try zip lining next time!

Thank you Mark and Jerry for being an amazing Big and Little!

Big Brothers Big Sisters is continually encouraged by relationships and experiences like the one above. There are many ways to get involved and support our mentor programs. Contact us today to learn how.

R.A.W. Construction

R.A.W. Construction, LLC’s goal is to perform utility construction services for our customers in the safest manner and of the highest quality. This is accomplished by retaining quality, well trained crews made up of individuals with good work ethic and that believe in the same policies that they have established for the company.

They have a wealth of experience to offer their clients. They install both plastic and steel gas mains, electrical conduit, waterlines, sewer lines, and various directional drilling projects. R.A.W. Construction’s capability comes from personal years of experience doing similar work around the country, and the same is true for it’s employees.

All three owners of R.A.W. Construction have 15-25 years of experience in the underground utility industry working with a large company. They brought that knowledge to the company, enabling them to better serve their customers on large contracts and giving their work the personal attention of a local contractor.
