Board Member Spotlight

Board Chair Adam Watson

Board Chair Adam Watson recently assumed his role as chair after serving on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors for six years. In addition to acting as chair, he also served as Vice Chair of the Board and was a Big Brother. Adam Watson is a shareholder at Watson & Associates, PA, CPAs. He has been in public practice for over 15 years working with individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits.

Little Brother, Andy, was originally interviewed in 2014 for our enhanced school based program. When I went to interview him at school the mentor coordinator stayed in the room with us just in case Andy had any trouble. Andy was 6 years old in Kindergarten at Astoria Park. He would barely look at me when he spoke to me and I could not understand him. I did understand that he did want a Big brother to help him with his homework and play games with. He was getting into trouble at school and not making good grades.
