About the BIG Alliance

Being a mentor isn't the only way to volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters.  We're always looking to partner with a wide variety of individuals who care about youth in need.

If you cannot be a mentor, if you are waiting to become a mentor, or should you simply wish to put your talents to work in fundraising and advocacy, the BIG Alliance may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Founded in 2010, the BIG Alliance strives to inspire community members to make a difference in the lives of Big Bend children through innovative, fun networking and fundraising events while encouraging philanthropic and volunteer commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend.

What do BIG Alliance Members do:

  1. Boost support for the agency by working alongside other volunteers one of two event committees: Bowl for Kids' Sake or BIG Bash.
  2. Build relationships with others who share their passion for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
  3. Participate at agency representatives at events and respond to calls for presenters and guest speakers as appropriate and as available.
  4. Attend quarterly BIG Alliance meetings.
  5. Meet and engage with other like-minded, community-focused individuals at quarterly BIG Alliance social gatherings.
