Sports Buddies is a fun way to mentor through participating in sports related activities - and build community with other matches that love sports!

In this initiative, one-to-one mentoring friendships between an adult and youth are formed while engaging in group athletic activities and educational outings. Matches attend 1 event per month - all organized by BBBS staff.  Activities will take place on Saturday and run about two to four hours, and a calendar of each month's activity will be provided as they are available. Sports Buddies activities are designed to deepen mentoring relationship while supporting self-confidence, goal setting, collaboration, skill development, and healthy lifestyles.

Bigs and Littles only spend time together at BBBS Sports Buddies events or at BBBS agency-sponsored activities. The Little's family is responsible for coordinating transportation to and from activities, and the BBBS Program Coordinator will conduct all scheduling and communication between the Big, Little and Little's family.

Potential Sports Buddies Activities:  Archery, Baseball, Basketball, Capture the flag, Dodgeball, Fishing, Fitness, Football, Frisbee, Golf, Hiking, Karate, Kickball, Rock Climbing, Soccer, Tennis, Weightlifting, Yoga, etc.
